RIPON RIVER CROSSING
Click photos to enlarge*
Yesterday afternoon, while the sun was up and was breezy, we drove to the river side, explored the place we saw two years ago, et voila, the water was high, we couldn't go to the bridge! This part of Ripon restrict vehicles to drive through. There is a parking lot near the freeway and that's it. One has to walk from that location as this place (Ripon River Crossing) was created for walking purposes and if ever one wants to go cannoing or fishing~yes, this is the ideal place! Here are some photos below...
The sign that says it all...I love the contrast of texture in these tree trunks and bark...one was filled up with vines, the other as it is...together they make poetry that makes spring my favorite season!
Leaves shapes and sizes vary, new homes are sprouting several miles near the river crossing...
Here is a super imposed photos of us, basically doing the same childlike pose...
The bridge in background (left) is covered up with water; lovers in hiding~caressing, embracing and whattheheckdoweknowtheyweredoing-stuff? The man was annoyed by husband when the latter said, "Were you done with your walk?" The man utterly was defensive and said the water was too high for them to cross the bridge; the woman, obviously guilty of what they were doing~ had a good laugh and nervous giggle- like hey, you caught as both in the midst of a burning desire to make out. Haha! Gosh, they are older than us...looks like they are having an affair. Mamamia!
The start of the walk to the river crossing begins here (left).... The trees in their geometric forms add substance to this milieu that I find to be peaceful and lovely... here we are in different moods...on the other side of the river where there is a park, playground, soccer field and picnic grove. Where I was was neat...I love the picket fence...
