The QUINTESSENTIAL Romatic
One day we were walking along Powel and Stockton in SFO when we saw these rows of apartment buildings located near North Beach (a.k.a. Italian section). We love this duplex (in photos) for their color scheme. Owners of this duplex have been bold enough to deviate from the norm of color combo (of pastel hues) and came out with something superb! The architectural design of this duplex is timeless. This duplex has a small garage for each unit. What is interesting about this place is its location- it is near the cafes and bistros of North Beach where the aroma of freshly brewd coffee welcomes one with sheer delight of being in the big city! It is also a few blocks' walk to the bay.

Parking is strikingly a huge problem in this city that parking spaces are rented on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. On the average, the parking space rental fee starts from $300 plus a month and it can go up, up and away! Location to park one's vehicle could also be far or if one is lucky, it could just be a few block's away from his/her domicile. But, hey, it's a compromise that people take in living in San Francisco where one sees a quilt of people coming from cross-cultural groups.
I love the red doors against the brown background. Yes, its romantic.
