I love the big foto of SFO where you see the cable cars in the middle of the street. We call them TRAMS here in Europe. The ones in SFO resemble like the ones in Lisbon.
ReplyDeleteWe will probably start doing some short city trips in the USA late this year or next year. Can't pin down the dates as I have other travels in mind. I'm looking at NY as our first city trip and SFO for the second. The Dutchman is not really into the city thing as he is partial to spend holiday in beaches and islands. He has been to Florida a couple of times but he said he was disappointed. Anyway, he promised to me that we will do the East and West coast of the USA soon ;-)
The fotos are very nice by the way.
SFO is an interesting city..but I suggest you go see NYC first.Go to Time Square, watch a musicale at Broadway, go to MOMA, Central Park, see the Trump Tower, etc. It's the city that never sleeps. I was at MOMA and it took me a day to tour just a portion where Andy Warhol's works are on display. SFO has a different ambience and character due to the old Victorian buildings all around it but like NYC, SFO is very multi/cross-cultural in ambience. Bring your walking shoes! No pumps and high heeled boots, my dear! Not in SFO as it is hilly! NYC, perhaps OK but everyone else wears trainers' shoes there. Enjoy!
