What To Do If Your Shirt Has Grease

Try this technique. It works like miracle, especially if your clothes had already been washed and the grease has remained prominently in it.

Use Dawn Dishwashing solution- it works! It takes off the grease that has been there for ages in your shirt!

If you do not have this brand in your country, buy any brand of dishwashing liquid soap that you could easily purchase in your locality.

Remember, dishwashing solution was designed to take off the grease in pots and pans- so imagine, it should do the same for fabric. However, we all know that it was especially designed for kitchen use but it is always handy to have it in the laundry as well!

HOW TO DO IT:

1. Rub the dishwashing solution (straight from the container, DO NOT DILUTE) into the affected area. Do not wet the clothes with water. Work only on the portion with grease in it. Leave the dishwashing solution in the shirt. DO NOT RINSE.

2. Hang the shirt for about 5 hours (indoor).

3. Check it out, repeatedly.

4. If you could still see the grease through the fabric you need to add more dishwashing solution generously.

5. After 5 hours, rinse the shirt with running water.

6. Hang to dry.

7. After drying, check it out. What do you see? No more grease!

Last week, I was disgusted to find out that two of my favorite pull- over shirts had grease on them, same thing with husband’s long sleeved shirt. I did the above procedures and to my surprise, it worked like magic! It's a bummer to have grease on one's shirt. Now, the solution is here. It works!
