April 9: Our Second Year Anniversary (COTTON)

April 9, 2006 (below)- moi and husband at the Royal Pacific Hotel, SFO, CA

Tonight, we celebrated our second year together as man and wife. Time flies sooo fast! Last year we were in Napa Valley(see photos above)! This year, we are in San Francisco! We had Chinese dinner along Grant Street (yes, we are back in SFO), attended the Palm Sunday Mass at 5. 30 PM (up until 6.30 PM) at Notre Dame Parish in Bush Street. After dinner, we checked in our h

otel; had coffee and oatmeal cookies (I brought and baked from home). After which, we went dancing and had a drink of tequila and gin and tonic at our favorite jazz bar on Columbus Street, Condor Bar. We got free drinks on the house, courtesy of the manager. We have been coming here and so far, the manager was grateful re: our patronage of his club. So far, we have been lucky tonight. We had so much fun dancing to great jazz beats. Whew!

Once you are ill, problematic, or in the verge of death, your success and social position are nothing more than just trimmings to check on how your value system works. Your strength diminishes you by the hour, minutes and seconds. If you are set to go fast, all comes easy. If not, you suffer mostly. Pray you don't have a lot of pain. You can manage that by starting your life to have a strong moral compass. Have faith. Be humble. Be nice. Do you have faith apart from yourself? That, you have to ask yourself now.
