St. Helena is a picturesque small town with an area of 4 square miles and a population of approximately 6,000. The City of St. Helena was incorporated as a City on March 24, 1876 and reincorporated on May 14, 1889.
St. Helena is located about 68 miles northeast of San Francisco on highway 29, also known as the St. Helena highway. Due to husband's business trips in the wine country (a.k.a. Napa, Marin and Sonoma County), I get to travel a lot in northern CA. This town of Helena is one quaint place that I really like. Being there was like going back to time. We enjoyed our stay in a century old hotel in town, filled with antique memorabilias and lots of dolls! Here are some photos taken last year in spring 2005.
