Rose, chocolates, and flowery verse
Pale in their attempt to convey,
The love that is ours...this which we have cherished,
Nurtured and grown.
Into the confident love we declare in whispers (as well as shouts),
Proclaiming to all (and to ourselves) what we possess.
Love that creates, and heals,
Protects and nurtures.
With confidence we declare to one another,
That which our hearts have longed to hear
Bringing forth that child-like response,
That loves without question or reserve
