They are blooming! Look! I have never planted a sunflower in my life and last spring was my first time- so am kind of excited when I saw the bunch sprouting like jelly beans upon my return from Portland with dearest husband last week! This was the first sunflower to emerge this summer. The rest are popping out as well but no yellow petals are showing yet. I photographed this one in a span of two days. See how it opened from the bottom photo and observe the seeds...awesome!
