Watching The Oscars In Bed

Husband digitally recorded the Oscars. Half way through it, we watched with excitement while the recording was on-going. We were able to fast forward it which was cool since we need not deal with its gazillion of ads. Wow! The suspense came through the finale part when the recording box popped up in the screen and in it was written, "ready for deletion." My goodness! We have not even seen yet the best actor/actress awards portion and boom! The recording was over. Ouch! I had to get out of bed and click the "winners" at the Oscars' website.

So far, it was worth the time spending our Sunday in bed, watching this much-awaited event of the year in Hollywood, watched via satellite globally. Voila, Jennifer Hudson came out as the best supporting actress winner. Her rise to fame is fast. And she deserves it I think. I bet, Oprah would celebrate with her as well and with the best actor award that went to the Whitaker actor, who is black. As Halle Berry once said, she celebrated her winning an Oscar with much gusto and deliverance since she represented, she said the "people of color." Bow! Can Caucasian actors say, "We celebrate our being whites in Hollywood!" You bet, they'd be branded as "racist." Funny, the blacks can say all they want but the whites cannot. Such is the irony of life. Until next blog, good night!
