Work Out Time @Home!

Getting Into The Groove

Husband came home Thursday evening this week with a grin on his face~ he got us the BOWFLEX! Now this would ensure that we two would work out at home! Two years ago, we enrolled and paid in advance for a year in the gym in our town; last year, we did the same and enrolled in a bigger gym where husband used to work out before we got hitched. Anyhow, we only came there twice and at the gym near our house, twice. Haha. We lost money on both these gyms in terms of us not going there to utilize the facilities for gym, sauna and swimmingpool. We became couch potatoes, OMG! We have just gotten lazy to work out, whereas before we got married, we two were gym fanatics! I was working out 7X/week for three hours each day then moving here to California changed that; made me feel lazy to move a muscle; same thing happened to husband. With my cooking and baking, we both ballooned to over 35 lbs, mamamia! And in excess of our ideal weight though we are not obese but both of us lost our body contour (sigh). Wahhhhhh! This morning at dawn, I heard husband working out. "Correction." he said, he was just cleaning up the BOWFLEX machine (laughs). BOWFLEX is costly but it is a good investment for our health. We would start a new healthy diet as we did before (meaning less frequency of eating gourmet food-OMG!). But we’ll do this because we want to live longer and we want to be in shape once more! Yesterday, while his buddy was here in our house and stayed up before dinnertime, the two of them carried the BOWFLEX from husband’s van to his office; dismantled the lower portion to be able to get it into husband’s office. It’s good it fitted into the narrow door otherwise, I’d grit my teeth if this machine would be installed in our sitting room- boy, that would be an eyesore...OMG! This morning while I was writing, husband began his work out routine. He felt good about it. I’d start out tomorrow. Just didn’t feel the rhythm for it yet. But, yes, this machine has a lot of versatility that an ordinary lat machine does not have so he got it for us. Sweet!
