38th Annual San Francisco Gay Pride Parade- June 29, 2008

Husband and I walked down Market Street and ended up finding a perfect spot on KEARNY. There, we watched the much awaited GAY PRIDE PARADE of San Francisco this morning at 10:30 AM. It was still going on at half past twelve when we decided to come home and walk, had popsicle while walking.

There were over 200 floats. Homosexuals came in different colors; they paraded with their lovers, adopted children, friends and family who love and support them. Mayor Gavin Newsome was in the float as well as Cindy Lauper. I got a lot of loot- mosty beads, condoms, lubricants (haha), candies, stickers, etc. It was fun and colorful to see these people to come by and march to what they believe in~ equality of rights whether you are heterosexual or homosexual. Less than two weeks after same-sex marriage became legal in California, drag queens, kids, politicians, shirtless men, married couples, straight couples and tourists flocked to San Francisco for the city's 38th annual San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Celebration, which culminated today with a huge parade. Thousands came by to watch this parade! Here are some photos I have taken during the event. More to come later. They are quite a lot. Video files coming soon!
