Walking Along Union Street

LEFT: Some photos taken on our way to the Saturday 5 PM mass yesterday. This is on Union Street, the main street from our alley where we walk through to get to Saints Peter and Paul Church which is right across the Washington Square.

RIGHT: The famous flag colors of Italy (red, white and green) as seen on each of the post in our neighborhood speaks of the mark of the Italian culture in the area.

LEFT: The Gelato (ice cream) House, our favorite place for the time being

yay, so exciting! Congrats on your new place. North Beach is such a wonderful place to live -- the food alone makes it worth it :) Have fun settling in, hope the boxes unpack quickly (I still have unopened ones from my October move), and have some gelato for me :)

1. Knowledge is power. It is your great equalizer to those who insult you, hurt, condemn or envy you. But with it comes challenges. Be confident.

2. Having a peace of mind is a wonderful gift from Above. No money can give you peace. Your conscience does that in harmony with yourself- mind, body and soul.

6. In the end, health matters most. Once you are ill, problematic, or in the verge of death, your success and social position are nothing more than just trimmings to check on how your value system works. Your strength diminishes you by the hour, minutes and seconds. If you are set to go fast, all comes easy. If not, you suffer mostly. Pray you don't have a lot of pain. You can manage that by starting your life to have a strong moral compass. Have faith. Be humble. Be nice. Do you have faith apart from yourself? That, you have to ask yourself now.
