HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KATIE ON DECEMBER 16th!

Our loveable doll and baby niece of the clan celebrates her 7th year on earth tomorrow, MNL time. I have no clue about her plans. Will she have a party at St. Paul Pasig in the Philipines or in her house in Wackwack? I just wish her a happy birthday with lots more to come each year. Miss you, little pumpkin! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KATIE!

BELATED BDAY GREETINGS TO YSSA ON OCTOBER 29TH

Hope you had a great bash!

JOSIE IS SICK

My highschool chum is sick and she is in Irvine, CA. She had her first ever colonoscopy last month and right there and then, they found out she has colon cancer. A week later, she went under the knife, has tubes all over her, oh- I couldn't believe the emails of our mutual friend, explaining to me the details of her health issues. It is sad. She is a wonderful lady with a loving husband who is standing by her through thick and thin.

Thank you RICHARD!

Raining In North Beach

I thought I saw soap suds in the veranda this morning when husband called me. I came closer and couldn't believe they were icicles- meaning we had hailstorm last night? Hmmmm...winter is here. It has been raining on and off during the weekend and the week seems not to be far from being dry. Anyhow, I love rainy days. It seems peaceful and keeps me sane and comfy. More later.

BUSY AS A BEE WHILE CHANGES ARE ON MY WAY EVERY DAY

This is why I have been absent and not blogging for a while. Many things happened since mid November. It seemed crazy at first but it all came to be for the best. That silver lining came through. Tee-ha. What a surprise of a lifetime!

So here I am catching up in between office work, baking, and blogging. Yes, I work in the office but at home and do remote work online through logme-in perspective that husband and I could check out on our business even if he is elsewhere in the world. That is how interesting the world of technology has become!

1636 Powell Garage- Beware Of This Place in North Beach in San Francisco!!!

This is the worst parking garage in the area of NORTH BEACH and TELEGRAPH HILL. DO NOT ever have the mistake of driving here just because it is near WASHINGTON SQUARE. It is tempting I know but please, have some slack. Don’t do it! After all, you might find yourself better off elsewhere. Why? It is because of many things:

1. SUPPORT STAFF: They are morons and idiots. Attendants are a bunch of jerks. They smile and nod a lot but actually do not comprehend what you are saying. You get frustrated and exasperated. If you call the manager or the owner of the business, he won’t call you back or email, nonetheless. Strategic style is akin to this: “TEE-HA, WE GOT YOUR MONEY NOW, WHY DO WE HAVE TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU? AFTER ALL, YOU ARE NOW ON OUR LOOP! YOU CAN’T GO ANYWHERE BECAUSE YOU ARE STUCK WITH US!” DANG! What a great work of art!

2. ENVIRONMENT: Trash is all over at the monthly parking area (basement). On a rainy day, the basement is flooded. You walk through the dirt water while your feet get soaked and invaded by microbes and fungus.
3. During the term of our contract with them, they never tried to improve the place to keep it clean and hygienic. Flies adorn the bin. Remnants of empty milk cartoons, soda bottles, and decaying substances could be found, time and again, at strategic places near the post, by the walls, and drive way. To pay $350.00 for this kind of ambience is, indeed, a joke. However, we did stay on as paying customers (FOR TWO AND A HALF YEARS) for lack of space and availability in other parking garage in the neighborhood. However, as of this writing, we are out of this damn place although our business with them is not over yet!

GET THIS: They have not refunded us the $350.00 they owe us. Since our bill payment is all done automatically each month via online banking, we paid them at the end of the month by default. So, we called in, sent a gazillion of emails, fax and voicemails to remind them that the payment we had facilitated online was a mistake! Guess what? They pocketed our money and never refunded us back! DANG!

Three months later since our first email to them was sent on September 3rd followed by an ensemble of phone calls, we got nothing but cold and silent treatment. Is this professional in terms of handling miscommunication of fund transfer? What happened to the integrity of this owner?

So tell me, is there where you want to park your car? Think about this. We were paying customers, for crying out loud- 2 ½ years, and they cheated us! What more for those occasional parkers who come to the city once in a blue moon? Take a grip, think twice before you come here. The money you saved in not coming here could be the sanity you want to keep while you still breathe oxygen in the air!
